Stephen Strawbridge currently provides management services to two multi-site national Private Training Establishments, provides PTE Consultancy Services and works on a project basis with other PTEs and NZQA Providers so he is always up to date with the latest developments from the TEC and NZQA.
Stephen has had the opportunity to work in every role there is in a PTE, at all levels from the ‘shop floor’ through to senior management. He specialised in the management of assessment design and practice, quality assurance and programme development and NZQA course approvals before moving into strategic development and the management of the multi site PTEs.
Stephen has been responsible for multi-million dollar training businesses in the private tertiary education sector and through these operations has had the opportunity to develop training programmes, NZQA qualifications and workplace training solutions to several industries in NZ.
Whether it was producing graduates for specific roles in the workforce or developing staff capability with an existing workforce, the aim has always been to support the people who make it happen, the Trainers or the Teaching Staff.
Trainers change the lives of their ‘learners’ and increase the value those people have within the businesses that they work in.
As he has progressed through his different roles, he has completed professional development and short courses to attain the National Certificate in Adult Education and Training Levels 4 & 5 and believes that ongoing training and assessment done on the job is the best way to gain skills and knowledge.
Stephen is still working in the education sector offering management services to PTEs and offering PTE Consultancy Services through Edbiz.
